And yet House Kallyss, a key political player in the courts of Dusk, have pledged themselves to the defence of Immoren and the Iron Kingdoms in order to atone for the faults of their forebears. Will they succeed as unlikely allies of the human nations of Immoren?

Led by the Blade of Twilight, Morayne, this band of refugee mage hunters were once members of the Retribution of Scyrah. Their past is evident in the practiced way they hunt and dispatch magic users, rendering defensive spells almost useless and skillfully avoiding retaliatory strikes.

Both Vaelyss and Specter exhibit unnatural resilience. The Specter will stand its ground far beyond expectation of a light warjack, faltering only in the face of overwhelming force. For her allies, Vaelyss may stay the hand of death, while she herself can slip its shackles to return a revenant.
